Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cubo mobile app and website at mycubo.co.uk (together, the "Service"). By using Cubo, you agree to these Terms.

The Service is provided by Cubo ("we", "us", "our").

2. The Service

Cubo is a quoting, invoicing, and payment management tool designed for UK tradespeople. Features include voice-to-quote AI generation, invoicing, payment tracking, and client management.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate business information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One account per business (multiple users may be added in future)
• You must be 18 or older and a UK-based tradesperson or business

4. AI-Generated Content

• It is the builder's responsibility to review, adjust, and approve all quotes before sending to clients
• Cubo is NOT liable for any financial loss resulting from inaccurate AI-generated quotes
• The builder, not Cubo, enters into the contractual relationship with their client
• Cubo does not provide financial, legal, or construction advice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Enter false or misleading information
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the app
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Overload the service with automated requests

6. Payment and Subscription

• Pricing is displayed in the app and on our website
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• You may cancel at any time; access continues until end of billing period
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice
• No refunds for partial billing periods

7. Payment Processing

• Cubo facilitates payment information display (bank details on invoices) but does NOT process payments
• We are not a payment processor, bank, or financial institution
• We are not responsible for late payments, failed transfers, or payment disputes between builders and their clients
• Builders are solely responsible for collecting payment from their clients

8. Data and Content

• You retain ownership of all data you enter into Cubo
• You grant us a licence to store, process, and display your data as needed to provide the service
• We may use anonymised, aggregated data for analytics and service improvement

9. Intellectual Property

• Cubo, its design, code, and AI models are our intellectual property
• Quote templates and generated content based on your input belong to you
• The Cubo name, logo, and branding are our trademarks

10. Limitation of Liability

Cubo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

We are NOT liable for:

• Financial loss from inaccurate AI quotes
• Loss of data (though we take reasonable measures to prevent this)
• Lost revenue or profits
• Any indirect, consequential, or special damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury from negligence, or fraud.

11. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from the app settings
• We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms with 14 days' notice
• Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days then deleted (except where legal retention requirements apply)

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
